I would like 4 changes for this one.

Cresswell in for Masuaku
Collins in for Ogbonna
Rice in for Fernandez
Antonio in for Ayew

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - The Official Match Thread
Feel like this is an important one in terms of avoiding a repeat of our start to last season. Team morale was clearly in the toilet then and took half the season to recover.

Swindon, i agree with your sentiments, but I cannot imagine Antonio is anywhere near fit enough to go even 60 minutes. hope i'm wrong.

Collins for Ogbonna would be ridiculous.

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - The Official Match Thread
I thought Reid struggled more than Ogbonna but he was arguably not fully fit having been out with a niggle during pre season.

I would hope Cresswell will come in for Arfur solely based on last week's performance by Arfur which was awful defensively. I would also hope that Ayew is moved central or dropped and we get someone on the right to help Zabaletta out. Antonio will eventually but not sure who else can play out wide right until he can make 90 mins? Sakho is an option I suppose but is also half fit and is hardly known for his tracking back. T

Also Fernandes has to make way for Rice. Noble stays because he at least put some effort in last week.

I do not expect our inept manager to make any of these changes aside from Antonio coming on 2nd half and would not be surprised to see the same starting line up with Cresswell, Sakho and and Rice on the bench.

j.arthur looked all over the place last week and we can't afford that again against someone with the ability of Redmond & Tadic. for that reason alone Creswell comes back, who'll also help Arnie more going forward. hopefully Michail's back but if not I'd put Fernandes on the right side and drop Ayew who was ineffective against the mancs. I think Rice partnering Obiang would be a good move and I'd let Noble have the free role behind Hernandez

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - The Official Match Thread
Collins kept Lukaku quiet last time v Everton so wasn't selected.
To then pick him against Gabbiadini would be a second mistake

Entirely possible then

Our midfield has to be much much better this week and hopefully Antonio can create some sort of threat.
Either way we need to cut out our endless errors and keep the ball once in a while.

I fancy us to get at least a draw today. These players have some professional pride and will want to bounce back from the humiliation they suffered last week.

Gabbiadini hasn't scored for a while, worth a punt today then.
